  • Depending on the season, the wind is usually between 15 and 25 knots, with many days in the perfect range for 9 - 12m kites. On some days, it can blow up to 30 knots, so it makes sense to bring a smaller kite like a 7m with you.

  • Depending on the month, the air temperature ranges between 25–35°C and the water temperature between 23–28°C. A shorty or Lycra is usually sufficient. For safaris in April and May, we recommend bringing a long wetsuit (2mm - 3.2mm). If you don't have your own wetsuit, you can also rent one

    • 50+ sunscreen/zinc cream

    • Long sleeve lycra shirt or even leggings are recommended

    • Wetsuit or Springsuit

    • A Dry Bag is handy to take things like phones or cameras from the boat to the island.

    • Anything you can't live without for a week, take it with you. We are at sea for the whole week.

    • Clothing wise: Don’t bring too much, it’s warm here. For the evenings take one long sleeve or hoodie max.

  • You can purchase a local SIM card upon arrival at the airport.

However, since we will be spending most of our time far out on the Red Sea by boat, we cannot guarantee a stable internet connection at all time. At some spots, we will be completely offline.

  • Yes, this is usually possible without any problems. Just let us know in advance what special requirements or intolerances you have so that the crew can plan ahead. Many requests, such as vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, or lactose-free, can be accommodated very easily.

  • Check-in

We can check in on the boat on Saturday, late afternoon. The latest possible check-in is during the night from Saturday to Sunday. We will leave the harbor on Sunday as early as possible. If you have a late arrival, please double-check the timing with us before booking your flight.

If your flight arrives in the morning/noon, we will organize a transfer to El Gouna to spend the day at a kite station.

    Check-out

On Friday afternoon, we will be back in the harbor around 17:00 pm. So this is the earliest check-out time. Regular check-out time will be on Saturday at 10:00 am. We will transfer to El Gouna again for those who have a late flight.
